ECF Family Engagement Plant

Parents, school staff, and the building administrator will collaboratively revise this Parent and Family Engagement Plan during the 2026-2027 school year in alignment with the requirements of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Section 1116. The plan outlines how Eliseo C. Felix implements each required component to support meaningful parent and family engagement.

Developing Our School’s Parent and Family Engagement Plan Together ESSA 1116(b)(1)
Eliseo C. Felix’s Parent and Family Engagement Plan was initially developed using an Avondale Elementary School District template to provide schools with a starting point for the 2026–2027 school year. During Fall 2026, ECF will invite parents, families, and school staff to provide input and help revise the plan so that it reflects the unique needs of our students, families, and school community.

The original plan will be reviewed during our Annual Title I Meeting, held in conjunction with Curriculum Night. It will also be shared through the school newsletter and posted on the Eliseo C. Felix website, where families can use Google Translate to access the plan in a variety of languages.

Following Curriculum Night, Site Council will review the plan and the School-Parent Compact and consider family and staff feedback to determine whether revisions are needed for the 2026–2027 school year.

If revisions are made, the updated plan will be shared with families through ParentSquare and posted on the school website.  An additional review will be scheduled at the end of the 26-27 school year to determine possible changes to be made in the 27-28 school year.

It looks at skills such as recognizing letters and sounds, reading words accurately and fluently, and understanding what they read. Results help teachers identify students who may need additional support and monitor reading progress throughout the year.
